This is a picture of an old tree on the bank of Lake Georgetown. I should probably have stopped the lens down a little more to get some additional DOP in the deep knots, but, cest la vie. I don't know what would make a tree this contorted and knotty. I presume it has something to do with the tree being "drowned" by the creation of the lake (there are a great many submerged trees in the area that exhibit similar knotting.)
